The The Double Read Times is published three times a year in February, May, and September. The spring and fall issues circulate to members and advertisers only; the winter issue is circulated to regional college faculty as well. The Double Read Times contains news and announcements of events, a regional arts calendar, and articles.   Bibliography of Past Issues

Advertising and Submissions

The Double Read Times (circulation 200 in winter; 100 in spring and fall) accepts advertising at the following rates:

• Full page (up to 11x8.5) $90.00
• Three-quarter page (up to 7.5x7) $75.00
• Half page (up to 5x7, horizontal please) $60.00
• One-quarter page (up to 5x3.25, vertical please) $42.00
• business card $21.00.

Rates include advertising for one year (three issues) and complimentary copies of the issues in which the ads are run. Continuing ads are billed annually.

The Midwest Double Reed Society is happy to include news of events from your school or group in upcoming issues. Please feel free to contribute articles, reviews, news of members and students, calendar events, other double reed announcements, and original art and cartoons (please do not send copyrighted artwork). Members of MDRS may contribute submissions to The Double Read Times at no charge. Non-members may submit an unlimited amount of material to any one issue for a fee of $15.00. A billing address (when applicable) must be included with the submission, and billing will follow publication of the issue.

Proceeds from advertising and submissions are used to fund MDRS activities including master classes, Double Reed Festival, and the MDRS Annual Young Artist Competition.
